Plum School Officials Hire Assistant Superintendent, New Administrators

The board held a special meeting Tuesday night to hire a new assistant superintendent.

Plum School District will have a new administrative team beginning in January.

During a special meeting on Tuesday, the board hired Guy Rossi as the district's new assistant superintendent. His contract begins Jan. 2,2012 and ends Dec. 31, 2014. He will be paid $107,000 annually.

Rossi, currently the Richland Elementary Principal in the Pine Richland School District, is replacing Timothy Glasspool, who will become the new superintendent in January.

The board also hired Michael Brewer as the Director of Administrative Services. The position is new, and Brewer will be paid $78,000 annually. He begins work Dec. 12.

The district also will have a new special education supervisor and Regency Park Elementary principal. Kathleen Shirey was hired to take over the position and will be paid $90,000 annually. Shirey is replacing Cheryl Levin, who retired in September. Margaret Evans currently is an interim in the position.

Last week, the board hired as the director of educational technology. He will replace Ed Hela, who is retiring in January.
