Plum SD Remains on Regular Schedule Tuesday

Plum School District was one of the few districts in the immediate area not to implement a delay or cancellation.

Students in the Plum School District and St. John the Baptist School are operating on a normal schedule Tuesday.

Unlike many schools in the region, the district did not implement a two-hour delay or a cancellation due to the Hurricane Sandy Superstorm.

Superintendent Timothy Glasspool said he and district transportation director Scott Mergen drove borough roads early this morning and "encountered few issues." Those issued will be relayed to bus drivers, he said.

Glasspool also said he checked with the borough road maintenance crew this morning, and no problems had been reported.

"All of our buildings have power and our network is operating at 100 percent," he said.

The district, however, will have a previously-scheduled one-hour early dismissal to end the first nine-week term Tuesday.
