Riverview Administrators to Take Pay Freeze Next Year

School board approved a four-year contract with administrators.

Along with teachers, Riverview School District administrators will take a pay freeze this fiscal year.

On Monday, the Riverview School Board approved a four-year contract with the district's seven administrators. The contract is active from July 1 to June 30, 2015.

Under the plan, administrators will receive an average 2.7 percent raise over the four years, said school board member John Hackworth.

Fringe benefits, such as health insurance and tuition reimbursement, remain the same in this contract and those in the past.

A new feature is an added section to the evaluation process that will focus strongly on ensuring that administrators meet specific annual goals.

Board members said they were happy with the status of the contract and thanked all the parties involved for creating a plan that was fair to the district and the personnel.
