Riverview School Board Notebook: October Voting Meeting

Here are some items discussed at the Riverview School Board Oct. 17 voting meeting.

Long-term Substitute

The board hired Stacey Mitchell as a long-term substitute, effective Aug. 22 through Nov. 4. Mitchell is subbing for foreign language teacher Rachelle Poth.

Supplemental Contract

Joshua Barone was hired as the junior high head wrestling coach.

Resignations

The board approved the resignation of Linda Aber, paraprofessional, effective Oct. 31.

The board also approved the resignation of Brandon Federici, 8th grade basketball coach for the 2011-2012 school year.

Trip

High school students will take a band and music trip to New York City May 4 to 6, 2012.

Contract

The board approved a contract with UPMC for counseling services to the junior-senior high school assistance program for $4,500. The services are a state requirement.
