Frank Dermody: Betrayal of the People

I hope that the residents of his district and all Pennsylvanians will recognize that they were stabbed in the back this week by State House Minority Leader Frank Dermody.

Although Mr. Dermody has never had the courtesy to respond to communication from me, a non-constituent, he must answer to those in his district.

Against reason and the pleas of grass roots organizations and individuals on both sides of the aisle, including governors of both parties, he did the unthinkable, voting against the $2.4 billion transportation bill, which will enable roads and bridges to be maintained and repaired, mass transit to remain vibrant, and for tens of thousands of construction jobs to be created or maintained.

The next time Mr. Dermody asserts that he cares about his constituents' safety, mass transit, and jobs, he deserves to be laughed out of the room.  He demonstrated where he stands. It is not with us.  When the Majority Leader of the Democrats is condemned by those such as Ed Rendell, the people should take notice.

For shame, Mr. Dermody!
