Cardio Kickboxing

Ages 12 and up -

What is Cardio Kickboxing? Aerobic kickboxing, also known as cardio kickboxing, is a workout that combines elements of martial arts, boxing, and aerobics into a high-impact, high-intensity program that is quite popular in gyms. Some experts state that aerobic kickboxing can burn between 500 and 800 calories per hour, while increasing strength, stamina, and flexibility. Many women also use kickboxing as a way to increase their self-defense abilities.

Megan Strasser has been certified as a group exercise instructor through NETA and the YMCA. She has been teaching for 11 years as well as participating in classes for much longer. As a long term participant in group exercise classes, Megan Strasser recognizes the need for a variety of impact levels. She incorporates a high/low format in her cardio kickboxing class that targets cinching in the waistline. The choreography keeps your mind challenged while the directions given are clear and simple. The class runs on a six week cycle, beginning with the easiest level and increasing each week until returning to the body sculpting elements to prevent plateau. She is a resident of Verona, married with 2 children. Come and join the fun!
