Plum Bowling Alley Hosts 2012 Nesbit's Lanes Open

Calling all bowlers: The event will be held on July 7 and 8 at Nesbit's Lanes in Plum.

The 2012 Open—previously the #1 Cochran Open—is coming to Nesbit's Lanes in Plum Borough the first weekend in July. The tournament is in its 38th year.

The winner of the tournament can win up to $4,000 and a trophy. Matches will be played at 7 p.m. on July 7 and 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on July 8. The cost to enter is $100.

Before the event there also will be a Pre-Nesbit's Lanes Open Qualifier and Sweeper at 8 p.m. on July 6. The cost to register is $30. The first-place winner will receive at least $160 and free entry into the Nesbit's Lane Open. Top six bowlers will receive cash prizes.

The tournament will be played in a qualifiers, match play, and finals format.

Last year's champion was Brian Waliczyk, and a total of more than $21,000 in prizes were awarded to winners.
