A ninth-grade football player from Plum High School was expected to be released from Children's Hospital Thursday after being injured during practice on Wednesday.
Principal Ryan Kociela said the student was kept overnight for observation and additional tests. Initially, there was concern that he might have suffered a spinal cord injury because he reported some numbness in his legs.
However, the student's father reported that his son had feeling in all of his extremities.
