What Are Your Predictions for the Raiders and the Mustangs This Football Season?

Are you ready for some football?

No, we’re not talking about the Steelers, although we’re pretty excited for their return to the field, too.

Both the Riverview Raiders and the Plum Mustangs kicked off their regular seasons over the weekend.

The AAAA Mustangs lost Friday to the sixth-ranked Bethel Park Black Hawks. The Black Hawks had 255 yards of offense to Plum’s 74 and forced five turnovers, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Final score was 38-0.

This is the 17th consecutive loss for the Mustangs.

The Raiders also had a tough loss Saturday to the Northgate Flames in a Class A Eastern Conference matchup.

With 11 seconds left in the game, the Flames got a 2-yard touchdown to defeat the Raiders by a score of 18-13. Riverview had been leading the game 13-12.
