Annual Christmas Carol Walk

The 33rd Annual Oakmont Christmas Carol Walk will be held on Sunday, December 8 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. 

This “progressive” ecumenical service of Scripture readings, Christmas Carols, and beautiful choral music of the season begins at 6 p.m. in St. Irenaeus Roman Catholic Church (385 Maryland Avenue).  The “progression will follow to Oakmont Presbyterian Church (Pennsylvania Avenue and Fifth Street) with music by the JuBELLation Ringers and Chancel Choir; next to Oakmont United Methodist Church (Maryland Avenue and Fifth Street) with the St. Paul Baptist Church Choir.  The finale will be at St. Thomas Episcopal Church (Delaware Avenue and Fourth Street) where they will offer Lessons along with carols and anthems. 

Then the area church choirs and singers from the community join together in a combined choir to offer several selections celebrating the Christmas season.

Following the finale, St. Thomas Church will host a cookie reception for everyone.
