More Restoration in Verona

Some of us walk around town (or anywhere) and really don't notice our surroundings.  Others notice changes in our environment...and do nothing.  Still others notice when repairs, repainting, or litter pick up need to be done...and then do something about it.  Frank and Mollie Santucci are a couple with a strong allegiance to Verona and quietly go about "doing something about it."

In preparation for the upcoming Memorial Day Celebration and Parade, it has been arranged that Riverview art students, under the direction of Riverview Art teacher, Karen Davidson, will be repainting/restoring the Verona Mural at the steps by the Verona Cannon Monument during the week of 5/12 OR 5/19, weather permitting.  Karen is the Art Teacher that first took on the project with her art students to design and paint the mural.

As you watch the parade and listen to the Riverview Band, be sure to walk over to the steps by the Verona Monument and appreciate their mural work.

Included is a picture taken just before the repainting/restoring was done.  See if you can count how many differences there are.
