Thanks Pitt Students

Saturday, October 25 a school bus of Pitt students pulled up to Verona Municipal building ready to clean-up and paint the borough.

Luke and Kathy Mattocks, Don Worf, Leo Bickert, Bob and Mariann Brayer, and Denise Gemellas divided the students into groups.  One group painted the benches in Riverside Park, another clean-up along the railroad, and other groups were spread out in the community with their bags and gloves picking up what folks have dropped or thrown out their car windows.

Special thanks go out to local merchants; Eilers, Sherwin Williams, Pizza Hut, and Giant Eagle and several councilpeople (Sandy Drabicki-Bell, Leo Bickert, Don and Rhoda Worf), and Mike Vento who sanded all the playground benches so they could be paintedWith the gift cards they supplied, the paint they donated, the discounted pizza, and the cookie tray everyone was set to work and be well fed.
