Verona Newsletter update

In order to get our Verona Newsletter up and running and brought back to our community, we are organizing a spaghetti dinner fundraiser. It is scheduled for Friday January 31st in the Verona Presbyterian Church, located on the corner of South and Second avenues, from 5-7:30 pm.

You can help by contacting Angela at 412-780-5021 or email her at aocchipinti@northwood.com. She is putting together baskets for a Chinese Auction. She is particularly looking for donated Penguin items to include in a basket.

Also if anyone is interested in volunteering any time between 5-8:30 pm that evening, it would be much appreciated.

There are only a handful (AND I DO MEAN A HANDFUL) of committee members organizing this event and the rebirth of the Newsletter.  We are extremely passionate not only about bringing our Newsletter back to the community, but also keeping it going.  This is going to be a fantastic way to keep our community connected and hopefully get more people involved in making our town the best it can be.

The next Newsletter committee meeting is January 16th at 7pm in Sophie's home located at 545 Parker Street.

We would very much welcome new faces with thoughts and suggestions as to how to make this a success.
