GALLERY: Sycamore Island Clean Up

Allegheny Land Trust, Friends of the Riverfront and Allegheny Cleanways took some time on Saturday to clean up the  banks of the Allegheny River near Verona, as well as Sycamore Island.

Allegheny Land Trust’s Sycamore Island is a rare and unique floodplain hardwood forest on the Allegheny River near Blawnox. Crews traveled to the island via the Verona docks on Arch Street.
