Verona Eagle Scout Keeps Community Informed with New Events Sign

Verona Boy Scout Ben Forbeck and everal volunteers constructed a community events sign at Cribbs Field in Verona.

Anyone passing by Cribbs Field in Verona might have noticed a new addition—a community events sign.

Boy Scout Ben Forbeck of Verona and several volunteers got together to fill a communications void in the borough. For his Eagle Scout project, Ben installed a sign at the corner of Second and South avenues to inform hilltop residents of current community events. There currently is a marquee on East Railroad Avenue in lower Verona.

Shrubs and flowers surround the new sign, which already has been put to use to advertise the garden tour and movies in the park.
