Five Things You Need to Know: Plum and Riverview Homecoming, Oakmont Job Fair

Patch gives you a rundown of what's going on around the community.

1. Riverview School Board Meeting

What’s going on in your child’s school? Find out in person when Riverview officials meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, in the library at Verner Elementary.

2. Plum School Board Meeting

The Plum School Board will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24.

3. Job Fair at Oakmont Library

The Oakmont Library is hosting a job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27.

Representatives from some of the top local companies will be at the library with information about available positions.  Come prepared to meet with and talk to employers.

4. Riverview Homecoming

Riverview High School kicks off homecoming with a parade on Friday, Sept. 27. The parade, including the band and members of the homecoming court, will line up in Verona near the police station at 5:30 p.m. with stop off at 6:15 p.m.

This year’s queen will be crowned during halftime of the football game as the Raiders take on Wilkinsburg.

The dance is scheduled to take place in the high school cafeteria from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28.

5. Plum Homecoming

Plum’s homecoming football game will be held Friday. Sept. 27. The dance will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at the high school’s main gym.

The cost per ticket is $10 per single person and $20 per couple.
