Schenley Shuffle 5k/1-mile Fun Walk+BrunchThis timed race Saturday, Sept. 21, at Bartlett Grove, Schenley Park, Oakland benefits Open Your Heart to a Senior, a volunteer organization that helps seniors in Allegheny County remain safe in their homes by providing friendly visits, safety checks, rides to appointments, and more.
Registration for the run and brunch is $20, for the 1-mile walk and brunch is $15, or free for OYHS
Soergel Orchards Fall FestivalThe festivals are so popular, they have prompted the Franklin Park Police department to issue a warning about traffic congestion on Interstate 79, Route 910, and Brandt School Road.
The festival begin Saturday, Sept 21 and continue through Sunday, Oct. 27.
The festivals are every weekend from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Admission is free.
