The Boulevard Gallery Art Exhibits

Get artsy this weekend. The Boulevard Gallery, located at 736 Allegheny River Boulevard in Verona, is featuring "Norwegian Flow and Others” by Mary Ellen McShea, oil, watercolor and acrylic, and "Spiritual Energy Unleashed,” a watercolor by Elaine Bergstrom. 

The gallery hours are from 12 to 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Coffee & Crime with Kelly Braffet

Kelly Braffet, author of the new thriller, Save Yourself, will appear at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Mystery Lovers Bookshop in Oakmont.

YMCA Hawaiian Luau Capital Campaign Kickoff

Get ready for food, drinks, fun and games. 

The Hawaiian Luau Capital Campaign kicks off at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at the East Suburban Family YMCA, located 2200 Golden Mile Highway.  

The event raises money for the future Sampson Family Y, which developers describe as an invaluable resource to meet the social, developmental, and wellness needs of the community through programs that nurture children, foster strong families, and promote senior health.

Verona Book Dedication and Signing

The Verona Historical Society presents Gary Rogers with his new book highlighting Verona's interesting past history. 

The book is titled, All Aboard, A Historical Tour of Verona.

Rogers will be singing copies of the book from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25 at the Railroad Park next to the Verona Municipal Building.

Each book is $15. "Charlie Hustle and the Grifters" also will perform at the event.
