Second Saturday Divorce Workshop for Women

Saturday, Sept. 14, 8:30 a.m., Herbert Campus, 2605 Nicholson Road, Building 2, Suite 103, Franklin Park, PA 15143. This workshop is for women who are contemplating or in the early to mid-stages of the divorce process.  This 4-hour information packed workshop is being taught by Julie Colton, a family law attorney, Donna M. Cheswick, a certified divorce financial analyst, and Donna Korczyk, a licensed psychologist to address the legal, financial and emotional issues associated with divorce. Thomas House Restoration Open House

Sunday, Sept. 15, 11:30 a.m. St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 378 Delaware Avenue, Oakmont. The Rt. Rev. Dorsey McConnell,  Bishop of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, will preach at 8:00 and 10:30 AM followed by a Consecration of the Thomas House Chapel and conduct tours of the newly remodeled Thomas House. Sunday, Sept. 15 10 a.m. Exploring nature in a kayak can be a fun and easy way to enjoy the outdoors. After brief introductions and a safety talk, you'll be outfitted in a personal flotation device (PFD) and receive paddling instruction. You'll then set out in a solo, recreational kayak to enjoy a guided, one and a half hour interpretive tour, learning about the ecosystem and history of the area.
