Man Accused of Forging Prescription at Oakmont Pharmacy

Here are the Oakmont police reports for May 1 to 13.

A Penn Hills man has been charged with forgery after being accused of trying to get a fake prescription filled at an Oakmont pharmacy. Oakmont police charged Ronell S. Gray, 25, of Penn Hills with forgery, possession of a controlled substance and prohibited acts. He is accused of trying to fill a fake prescription at the Medicine Shoppe in Oakmont in April. The following incidents also were reported to the Oakmont Police Department: Gun Teens recovered a rusted handgun in a sock at a creek in Dark Hollow Park on May 11. Criminal Mischief A Sixth Street resident reported his vehicle was vandalized on May 11.  A Woodland Avenue resident reported that a garage door was tampered with on May 9. Firefighters Battle Blaze on Stonehaven Court in Plum

Firefighters from several area fire companies fought a house fire in Plum Borough on Thursday evening.

Fire crews fought a house fire on Stonehaven Court in Plum Borough, Thursday. The call came in at about 6 p.m. and the fire burned through the home's roof. As of 7:10 p.m., smoke was still coming from the house but the fire seemed to be controlled.  Renton fire Chief Jason Davis said crews arrived to find the home's roof "fully involved." Firefighters aggressively attacked the fire and got it under control.  "The building is still standing, which is rare for this type," he said. "The guys did an excellent job."  Davis said the house sustained severe water and smoke damage. Plum Police Investigate Thefts, Counterfeit Bill

Here are the Plum police reports for May 7 to 14.

The following incidents were reported to the Plum Police Department: Theft Eric Douglas Dancu, 27, of Plum was charged with theft and receiving stolen property on April 4 after being accused of stealing $2,000 from his father. A Beech Road resident reported fishing rods and tackle boxes were stolen from an unlocked shed sometime between July 2012 and this month. DUI William Anthony Stanzianza III, 27, of Plum was charged with driving on the wrong side of the road, speeding and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a May 3 incident on Center Hill Road. Counterfeit Money A counterfeit $20 bill was reported at the Unity Station Tavern on Universal Road on May 7. Criminal Mischief A man reported …

Verona Police Investigate Shooting

Here are the Verona police reports for April.

The Verona Police Department is investigating a late-night shooting that injured one person a little over a week ago. On April 27 at about 3:43 a.m. police were called to the Marina Pub on Arch Street after reports that a man had been shot. According to police, a 22-year-old had a gunshot wound in his leg. He told police he was leaving the bar with a friend when a black man in a black hooded sweatshirt sprayed him with pepper spray. According to the report, the suspect then shot the man in the leg and ran off. He has not been identified, and county police have taken over the investigation. Wilkinsburg Man Charged After Police Chase in Plum

Here are the Plum police reports for April 30 to May 7.

A Wilkinsburg man is facing several charges after leading police on a car chase that ended with an accident. Plum police have charged Bryan Louis Johnson Jr., 35, with receiving stolen property, fleeing or attempting to elude police, driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, unauthorized use of registration, driving with a suspended license, speeding and four stop sign violations. According to the police report, officers attempted to make a traffic stop on Saltsburg Road when Johnson, the driver of the vehicle, took off. He led police on a chase to the Route 380 exit ramp to Mamont. Johnson failed to navigate a bend, hit the guiderail and his vehicle flipped. He then is accused of attempting to flee on foot. Here are the Oakmont police reports for April 16 to 30.

The following incidents were reported to the Oakmont Police Department. Information was obtained from call logs and police reports. Burglary A Hulton Road resident reported a burglary on April 20. A Sixth Street resident reported a burglary on April 27. Theft A Jefferson Hills man was accused of stealing a plastic rooster ornament from What's Cookin' at Casey's. The restaurant owners did not press charges. A Fifth Street resident reported his son's backpack went missing on April 18. A theft from a vehicle was reported at the Walgreens along Allegheny River Boulevard on April 28. Homicide, Drug Arrests Made in Plum

Several people have been charged following a deadly shooting in Penn Hills last week.

Several people were arrested at a Havana Drive home in Plum earlier this week following a deadly shooting in Penn Hills. According to the Post Gazette, a shooting that occurred on Westwood Road last Friday led to the death of a 21-year-old and the arrests of five people. Charges have been filed against Ronald Riviere, 32; Kwasi Prince, 21; Michael Siddo, 34; Michael Josephs, 38; and Tarique Smith, 37. Accoding to the newspaper, Riviere shot prince and Brandon Stokes when he was reaching into his pocket to get money for a McDonald's run. Stokes died from a gunshot wound to the chest and Prince survived after being shot in the stomach. According to WPXI, police arrested Riviere on Havana Drive earlier this week. Men Accused of Stealing Bike Parked Outside Plum Grocery Store

Here are the Plum police reports for the week of April 23 to 30.

Two men have been accused of stealing a bicycle from outside a Plum grocery store. Plum police have charged Ryan Turner Labovick, 20, of Plum; and Thomas Steven Sisco Jr., 20, of Mt. Oliver with receiving stolen property. Labovick also was charged with theft. The men are accused of stealing a bicycle that was parked outside of the Holiday Park Shop'n Save along Route 286 on March 4. The following incidents also were reported to the Plum Police Department. DUI Lee Andrew Peterman, 34, of Penn Hills was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and driving on the wrong side of the road after an April 26 traffic stop on Hulton Road.
