A limited edition box of Sarris chocolates showcases Johno Prascak's popular Pittsburgh skyline artwork on its cover.

As I said on TV, I grew up on Hershey’s and my wife Maria introduced me to Sarris 30 years ago—I never looked back.” Prascak made the announcement Tuesday on KDKA’s Pittsburgh Today Live. He was featured in a segment called, “In the Kitchen with Johno Prascak,” where he cooked crawdads—something he told Patch was on his bucket list. The …

Retired Plum Artist Turns Silverware into Sculpture

Plum resident and retired schoolteacher collects everyday items and welds them into works of art.

Retired schoolteacher Bill Berkey has a lot of spoons — and forks, knives, whisks, spatulas and salad tongs. He's not a chef, though. He's an artist, and his drawers full of thrift-store salvaged spoons eventually become sculptures. Berkey, 79, crafts entire pieces out of silverware in his Holiday Park home in Plum before having them painted at a shop in Export.
