Burglars Target Vacant Home in Plum

Here are the police reports for May 14 to 21.

Plum police are investigating after vacant home on Greensburg Road was burglarized earlier this month. On May 10, the former resident reported that someone had stolen many items from the home,which he still checks. A stove, TV, video game console, video games, a washer, a grill, an air conditioner, a bike, tools, a computer, money and copper piping were reported stolen. Verona Police Investigate Shooting

Here are the Verona police reports for April.

The Verona Police Department is investigating a late-night shooting that injured one person a little over a week ago. On April 27 at about 3:43 a.m. police were called to the Marina Pub on Arch Street after reports that a man had been shot. According to police, a 22-year-old had a gunshot wound in his leg. He told police he was leaving the bar with a friend when a black man in a black hooded sweatshirt sprayed him with pepper spray. According to the report, the suspect then shot the man in the leg and ran off. He has not been identified, and county police have taken over the investigation. Wilkinsburg Man Charged After Police Chase in Plum

Here are the Plum police reports for April 30 to May 7.

A Wilkinsburg man is facing several charges after leading police on a car chase that ended with an accident. Plum police have charged Bryan Louis Johnson Jr., 35, with receiving stolen property, fleeing or attempting to elude police, driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, unauthorized use of registration, driving with a suspended license, speeding and four stop sign violations. According to the police report, officers attempted to make a traffic stop on Saltsburg Road when Johnson, the driver of the vehicle, took off. He led police on a chase to the Route 380 exit ramp to Mamont. Johnson failed to navigate a bend, hit the guiderail and his vehicle flipped. He then is accused of attempting to flee on foot. Here are the Oakmont police reports for March 6 to March 19.

The following incidents were reported to the Oakmont Police Department. Information was obtained from call logs and police reports. Assault Adam Lohr, 23, of Oakmont was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment after an incident on March 17. Micah Spencer, 31, of Oakmont was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, harassment and disorderly conduct after a March 13 incident along Hulton Road. Retail Theft Barbara S. Teens Face Charges After Breaking Into Elementary School

Six teenagers from the Oakmont-Verona area broke into Tenth Street School last month.

Six teenagers from Oakmont and Verona are facing charges in juvenile court after being accused of breaking into Tenth Street Elementary School in the middle of the night. According to Oakmont police Chief David DiSanti, the six juveniles—ages 14 to 17—broke into the school between 1 and 4 a.m. on Feb. 16. After conducting an extensive investigation, all students involved were charged last week. DiSanti said the juveniles—all are students at Riverview High School—entered the school, damaged a curtain in the auditorium and stole several items. The stolen items have been recovered. Robbery Update Police continue to investigate an armed robbery that occurred at Sheetz on Route 289 last week. Police report that a man robbed the store at gunpoint at about 2:45 a.m. on Jan. 29.
