Outbound Parkway East Overhead Sign Inspections Saturday

There will be single-lane closures and traffic shifts during the outbound Squirrel Hill Tunnel closure.

Overhead sign safety inspections on the outbound Parkway East will occur on Saturday morning, April 6, weather permitting. Work requiring intermittent single-lane closures and traffic shifts will occur from 6 a.m. to noon on the outbound Parkway East between Churchill (Exit 79B) and the Monroeville/Plum (Exit 84) interchanges. Two of three outbound lanes will remain open at all times. Inbound traffic will not be affected.  There is also an outbound Squirrel Hill Tunnel closure this weekend. Parkway East Overhead Sign Inspections to Occur Saturday in Churchill

Motorists should be aware of these additional parkway restrictions.

Motorists traveling inbound on the parkway will experience some restrictions Saturday. Overhead sign safety inspections on the inbound Parkway East (westbound I-376) in Churchill will occur on Saturday morning, March 23, weather permitting. Work requiring intermittent single-lane closures and traffic shifts will occur from 6 a.m. to noon on the inbound Parkway East between the Monroeville/Route 22 (Exit 80) and Churchill (Exit 79B) interchanges. Mackin Engineering and the Sofis Rigging Company will conduct the work.
