Here are the Plum police reports for April 2 to April 8.
A Plum resident's stolen jewelry was found at a nearby coin shop. According to Plum police, a Kane Road resident reported on March 25 that $1,625 worth of jewelry had been stolen from her jewelry box. Police recovered all the items at Pat and BJ Coins on Route 286 in Monroeville—right at the Plum border. Officers are investigating the theft to determine who sold the jewelry. Several cars in Oakmont were egged and keyed within the last week.
Several residents were the victims of criminal mischief in Oakmont within the last week. Oakmont police received many complaints of egged and keyed cars throughout the borough, as well as reports of a broken business window and a damaged street sign. On March 29, a Pennsylvania Avenue resident reported that someone had keyed their car. The same happened to an Elm Way resident on March 30. On March 31, police noticed a borough street sign at the Maryland Avenue/Fourth Street intersection had been moved and damaged. On April 1, four cars on Crystal Drive, three cars on Porte Street, two cars on Fourth Street, one car on Fifth Street and 1 car on Virginia Avenue were egged. Assault Adam Lohr, 23, of Oakmont was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment after an incident on March 17. Micah Spencer, 31, of Oakmont was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, harassment and disorderly conduct after a March 13 incident along Hulton Road. Retail Theft Barbara S. Here are the Verona police reports from February through March 13.
A man has been charged with theft after being accused of stealing from vehicles in Verona. Verona police have charged Brandon Noel, 26, of Penn Hills with receiving stolen property. According to police Chief Ron McLemore, police received five complaints of thefts from motor vehicles on Feb. 27. All vehicles were unlocked, and Noel is accused of stealing items such as eyeglasses and GPS overnight. Noel was arrested on March 13 and currently is being held at the Allegheny County Jail. McLemore asks that all residents lock their vehicles and report any suspicious activity to police. DUI Maria Rose Lucjak, 22, of Oakmont was charged with prohibited acts, driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and careless driving following a Feb. 24 accident on the 700 block of Hulton Road. Student Takes Knife to School A 12-year-old is facing juvenile charges after taking a knife to Riverview High School on Tuesday, Feb. 19.
