Man Accused of Forging Prescription at Oakmont Pharmacy

Here are the Oakmont police reports for May 1 to 13.

A Penn Hills man has been charged with forgery after being accused of trying to get a fake prescription filled at an Oakmont pharmacy. Oakmont police charged Ronell S. Gray, 25, of Penn Hills with forgery, possession of a controlled substance and prohibited acts. He is accused of trying to fill a fake prescription at the Medicine Shoppe in Oakmont in April. The following incidents also were reported to the Oakmont Police Department: Gun Teens recovered a rusted handgun in a sock at a creek in Dark Hollow Park on May 11. Here are the Oakmont police reports for April 16 to 30.

The following incidents were reported to the Oakmont Police Department. Information was obtained from call logs and police reports. Burglary A Hulton Road resident reported a burglary on April 20. A Sixth Street resident reported a burglary on April 27. Theft A Jefferson Hills man was accused of stealing a plastic rooster ornament from What's Cookin' at Casey's. The restaurant owners did not press charges. A Fifth Street resident reported his son's backpack went missing on April 18. A theft from a vehicle was reported at the Walgreens along Allegheny River Boulevard on April 28. Equipment Stolen from Plum Shed

Here are the Plum police reports for April 16 to April 23.

A Plum residents reported several heavy items stolen from a shed last week. Plum police were called to Logans Ferry Road on April 15 for a theft report. According to police, someone cut the lock to a shed door and stole three pieces of equipment—a hand lift, an earth mover blade and a landscaping rake. The theft occurred between April 12 and 15. The following incidents also were reported to the Plum Police Department. Information was obtained from police reports. Fraud Police are investigating a case of possible fraud. According to police, a patient of Prime Care Internal Medicine in Plum allegedly tried to change a prescription for Celxa to Xanax and attempted to get it filled at the Medicine Shoppe in Oakmont on April 18. Plum Resident's Stolen Jewelry Sold to Coin Shop

Here are the Plum police reports for April 2 to April 8.

A Plum resident's stolen jewelry was found at a nearby coin shop. According to Plum police, a Kane Road resident reported on March 25 that $1,625 worth of jewelry had been stolen from her jewelry box. Police recovered all the items at Pat and BJ Coins on Route 286 in Monroeville—right at the Plum border. Officers are investigating the theft to determine who sold the jewelry. Oakmont Police Investigate Criminal Mischief Reports

Several cars in Oakmont were egged and keyed within the last week.

Several residents were the victims of criminal mischief in Oakmont within the last week. Oakmont police received many complaints of egged and keyed cars throughout the borough, as well as reports of a broken business window and a damaged street sign. On March 29, a Pennsylvania Avenue resident reported that someone had keyed their car. The same happened to an Elm Way resident on March 30. On March 31, police noticed a borough street sign at the Maryland Avenue/Fourth Street intersection had been moved and damaged. On April 1, four cars on Crystal Drive, three cars on Porte Street, two cars on Fourth Street, one car on Fifth Street and 1 car on Virginia Avenue were egged. The following incidents were reported to the Plum Police Department. Information was obtained from call logs and police reports. Drugs Antoinette Guastaferro, 43, of Penn Hills was charged with prohibited acts, driving with a suspended license and speeding after a March 8 incident on Unity Center Road. Teens Face Charges After Breaking Into Elementary School

Six teenagers from the Oakmont-Verona area broke into Tenth Street School last month.

Six teenagers from Oakmont and Verona are facing charges in juvenile court after being accused of breaking into Tenth Street Elementary School in the middle of the night. According to Oakmont police Chief David DiSanti, the six juveniles—ages 14 to 17—broke into the school between 1 and 4 a.m. on Feb. 16. After conducting an extensive investigation, all students involved were charged last week. DiSanti said the juveniles—all are students at Riverview High School—entered the school, damaged a curtain in the auditorium and stole several items. The stolen items have been recovered.
