Several people have been charged following a deadly shooting in Penn Hills last week.
Several people were arrested at a Havana Drive home in Plum earlier this week following a deadly shooting in Penn Hills. According to the Post Gazette, a shooting that occurred on Westwood Road last Friday led to the death of a 21-year-old and the arrests of five people. Charges have been filed against Ronald Riviere, 32; Kwasi Prince, 21; Michael Siddo, 34; Michael Josephs, 38; and Tarique Smith, 37. Accoding to the newspaper, Riviere shot prince and Brandon Stokes when he was reaching into his pocket to get money for a McDonald's run. Stokes died from a gunshot wound to the chest and Prince survived after being shot in the stomach. According to WPXI, police arrested Riviere on Havana Drive earlier this week. A Plum man faces drug-related charges after a routine traffic stop in Whitehall Borough on Saturday, Aug. 18. A Whitehall police officer stopped a motorist in the Whitehall Borough section of Clairton Boulevard (Route 51) at around 4:21 p.m. under suspicion that his vehicle's registration had expired, Whitehall police Deputy Chief Richard M. Danko said. Upon approaching the motorist—Dominick Mastrogiacomo III, 29—the officer smelled marijuana coming from Mastrogiacomo's vehicle, Danko said.
