The following incidents were reported to the Oakmont Police Department. Information was obtained from call logs and police reports. Assault Adam Lohr, 23, of Oakmont was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment after an incident on March 17. Micah Spencer, 31, of Oakmont was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, harassment and disorderly conduct after a March 13 incident along Hulton Road. Retail Theft Barbara S. Chaffo, 51, of Murrysville was charged with retail theft on March 12. She is accused of stealing items from Ambiance Boutique. The following items were reported to the Plum Police Department. Information was obtained from call logs and police/incident reports. Theft Sarah Dawn Vercauteren, 24, of Monroeville was charged with theft. She is accused of stealing $159.50 from a drawer at the Burger King on Route 286 before she quit her job there. A 2001 Brush Bandit, a trailer-type wood chipper, was reported stolen from a Davidson Road business on Nov. 14. A Penn Hills resident reported a trampoline stolen from the Self Storage on Route 909 on Sept. 17. The man reported he was removing items from storage, left for a short while and came back to find the trampoline missing. A Ninth Street resident reported a burglary on Oct. 5. According to police, burglars broke a pane of glass from the back door and stole jewelry from the residence. Oakmont police were called to Riverview High School on Wednesday after reports of a fight. According to police, two juvenile females were involved in a fight at school. Both girls will be cited for the fight as well as a male student, who allegedly provoked the incident. The following incidents also were reported to the Oakmont Police Department. Fight Police were called to Saltsburg Road for a truck stopped in the middle of the road on July 28. According to the police report, a father and son from Elizabeth were fighting inside the vehicle and had to be separated. Neither have been charged yet. Here are the Oakmont police reports for June 14 to June 26.
Oakmont police are investigating an incident in which a juvenile said he was assaulted. According to police Chief David DiSanti, a 17-year-old male called police at about 1:45 a.m. on June 25 and said he had been assaulted by a few other juveniles on Plum Street. A police officer on duty earlier that evening had approached the victim and suggested he go home before the incident occurred. DiSanti said the juveniles involved are from Oakmont and Penn Hills, and police are conducting an investigation. Recently, police also charged six people—three adults and three juveniles from Oakmont and Penn Hills—after a June 13 fight on Cedar Way. Fight Police were called to a fight on June 13 on Cedar Way in which 20 to 30 people were involved. According to the police report, a large crowd dispersed when police arrived. Jeffrey A. Disorderly Conduct Santina Marie Nash, 21, of Castle Shannon; and Nikki Mae Srdich, 20, of Verona, were charged with disorderly conduct and harassment after an April 26 fight on Potomac Street. Police received reports of a disorderly male on Washington Avenue on April 30. According to reports, the man was yelling at people and asking for cigarettes. He told police he had been hit by a car. I live 1 block from the incident and called 911 repeatedly starting at 10:45PM. I was disconnected the 1st time and when I finally spoke to an operator, I was told they had multiple calls about the same incident. It took close to 10 minutes for the police to arrive.
