Celebrate Veterans Day With Some Freebies & Events
There are several things going on in the community to thank veterans.
There are many ways to celebrate Veterans Day in the community this year. Veterans Day is on Sunday, Nov. 11. Here's a look at some freebies for vets and some events in the area. Oakmont Carnegie Library The Oakmont Carnegie Library will celebrate our servicemen and women this Veterans Day weekend. There will be displays throughout the library about services for veterans and their families and information about Oakmont's military history. A moment of silence also will be observed at 2 p.m. Sunday around the flag on the front lawn. The public is invited to attend.
