Winter Weather Advisory: Mixture of Snow, Sleet, and Freezing Rain Predicted for Morning Rush

The storm is expected to begin after midnight.

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a winter weather advisory from 1 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday for most of Western Pennsylvania, including Plum, Oakmont and Verona. A mixture of snow, sleet, and freezing rain is expected overnight into Monday morning. Due to very cold ground and snow pack, roads and sidewalks are expected to be icy. Here is a more detailed look at the forecast: _________________ Plum-Oakmont Patch is on Facebook and on Twitter. Don't forget to sign up for our daily email newsletter by clicking here.
