A group of parents told the Riverview School Board they are concerned about girls' basketball coach's behavior.
Some parents say they're unhappy with the coach's treatment of players on the Riverview High School girls' basketball team. On Monday night, a handful of parents told the school board they're "disturbed" by coach Keith Stitt's behavior toward the Lady Raider team. Others defended the coach. Stitt, who has been coaching the Lady Raiders for four seasons, didn't respond to emails sent by the Plum-Oakmont Patch seeking comment. Parent Carol Segelson Dezort said the coaching staff has displayed aggressive and intimidating behavior toward the players. Dezort also said Stitt grabbed a player by the neck during the Jan. 14 game against Springdale—he received a three- to five-day suspension. "I'm sure we can do better as a district in finding …

For the first time since 1980, the Riverview High School girls basketball team has made it to the WPIAL Class A semifinals. The Lady Raiders, coached by Keith Stitt, will take on defending champs North Catholic tonight, Wednesday, at 6. The game will be at Gateway High School in Monroeville. If the team wins, they will play in the finals at the AJ Palumbo Center in Pittsburgh on Saturday. Take a moment to leave some nice words to the team in our comments section. Here's a Raider Reviews update.
In the past two weeks, the varsity soccer Lady Raiders have added one win, a tie and three losses to their record. Unfortunately, they didn't clinch a spot in their section playoffs. On the boy's side, they picked up some more speed to keep them rolling into potential post-season play. Although the Lady Raiders suffered a tough loss to Greensburg Central Catholic, they battled back against Geibel, defeating them 5-3. Roya Fashandi added three more goals to her season high while Victoria Tibbens tallied two goals on the match as well. The Lady Raiders changed their formation for an important game against Jeanette on the following Monday.
