Pipe/Inlet Cleaning to Occur In, Near Plum This Week

Here's a look at where PennDOT road crews will be working this week.

Crews from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will be working in Plum and nearby in Penn Hills this week—through Friday, Feb. 22. Plum Roads to be Seal Coated This Week

Here's a roadwork update.

Preventative seal coat maintenance work to preserve the life of pavement surfaces in the area will occur this week, June 4 to June 8, weather permitting. Signs will be posted in advance of work being performed. Motorists are asked to drive slowly over recently treated roadways. Daytime lane restrictions and delays should be expected in the following work areas: Paving also will occur on Leechburg Road in Penn Hills from Saltsburg Road to Milltown-Unity Road. A seal coat—ot "tar and chips"—is essential in preserving the life of a road surface because it prevents moisture from entering the pavement through surface cracks and oxidized asphalt surfaces.
