A local organization that helps military soldiers will be holding an open house this week. Military Connections operates out of Penn Hills and is run by Summer Tissue, Plum resident and Oakmont Chamber of Commerce director. An open house will be held Friday, June 1, at 7 p.m. at 312 Auburn St. in Penn Hills. There will be food, fun, shopping and raffles at the organization's care package headquaters. There will be door prizes every 15 minutes. To RSVP, call 412-496-8941 or email militaryconnections@hotmail.com. Donations will be accepted for the organization's care package program. For more information, see www.militaryconnections.org. _______________________ Plum-Oakmont Patch is on Facebook and on Twitter. Don't forget to sign up for…
