The two establishments in Oakmont will be selling cookies for Autism Awareness Month.
If you're craving cookies, you can buy some at Panera Bread or Oakmont Bakery to benefit a good cause. Both establishments are selling cookies in honor of Autism Awareness Month and donating proceeds to local charities. Panera will be selling "Pieces of Hope for Autism" shortbread cookies shaped in the autism puzzle piece logo from Friday, April 13, to Sunday, April 22. All proceeds will benefit The Autism Center of Pittsburgh. The Oakmont Bakery also will be selling puzzle-shaped M&M cookies. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Watson Institute, a Sewickley-based school for children with special needs. Pittsburgh-area Panera Bread Cafés and Bruegger's Bagels are celebrating National Bagel Day on Thursday, Feb. 9. The Oakmont Panera, which is located on Allegheny River Boulevard is participating. Customers can receive a free bagel with the purchase of a coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate or espresso drink. The Bruegger's in Oakmont is located on Allegheny Avenue. Like Bruegger's on Facebook and get a coupon for three free bagels on Thursday.
