The following incidents were reported to the Plum Police Department: Theft Eric Douglas Dancu, 27, of Plum was charged with theft and receiving stolen property on April 4 after being accused of stealing $2,000 from his father. A Beech Road resident reported fishing rods and tackle boxes were stolen from an unlocked shed sometime between July 2012 and this month. DUI William Anthony Stanzianza III, 27, of Plum was charged with driving on the wrong side of the road, speeding and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a May 3 incident on Center Hill Road. Here are the Plum police reports for the week of April 23 to 30.
Two men have been accused of stealing a bicycle from outside a Plum grocery store. Plum police have charged Ryan Turner Labovick, 20, of Plum; and Thomas Steven Sisco Jr., 20, of Mt. Oliver with receiving stolen property. Labovick also was charged with theft. The men are accused of stealing a bicycle that was parked outside of the Holiday Park Shop'n Save along Route 286 on March 4. The following incidents also were reported to the Plum Police Department. A Plum residents reported several heavy items stolen from a shed last week. Plum police were called to Logans Ferry Road on April 15 for a theft report. According to police, someone cut the lock to a shed door and stole three pieces of equipment—a hand lift, an earth mover blade and a landscaping rake. The theft occurred between April 12 and 15. A Plum man is facing several charges after being accused of hitting a teenager on his bicycle with his car. On April 2, police were called to Unity Center Road near College Avenue after reports of a bicyclist being hit by a motorist. A 15-year-old on a bicycle sustained face, shoulder and ankle injuries and was taken to Children's Hospital for treatment. The motorist, Dominic Anthony Tavella, 23, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, prohibited acts, accidents involving injuries, driving with a suspended license, registration required and required financial responsibility. Here are the Plum police reports for April 2 to April 8.
A Plum resident's stolen jewelry was found at a nearby coin shop. According to Plum police, a Kane Road resident reported on March 25 that $1,625 worth of jewelry had been stolen from her jewelry box. Police recovered all the items at Pat and BJ Coins on Route 286 in Monroeville—right at the Plum border. Officers are investigating the theft to determine who sold the jewelry. The following incidents were reported to the Oakmont Police Department. Information was obtained from police reports and call logs. DUI Maria Rose Lucjak, 22, of Oakmont was charged with prohibited acts, driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and careless driving following a Feb. 24 accident on the 700 block of Hulton Road. Lucjak is accused of crashing her car into a pole. Accident Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on the 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue Feb. 24.
