The Riverview professional development committee has requested four two-hour delays to help with the implementation of a positive school-wide behavior program.
Riverview School District students might have two-hour delays that are not snow-related next school year. Officials are considering including the delays into the 2012-13 school year budget, as suggested by the professional development committee, which is made up of teachers and administrators from each district school building. The delays would occur half way through each quarter to assist with a new positive school-wide behavior initiative, a program supporting common core standards, inter disciplinary practices and the culture of Riverview.
