The Tom Cruise movie partly filmed in Oakmont last year will premiere in Pittsburgh on Dec. 15.
Pittsburgh will play host to the premiere of a Tom Cruise movie that was filmed in several local communities, including Oakmont, last year. "Jack Reacher," originally named "One Shot" after the novel the story is based on, will premiere at the SouthSide Works Cinema on Dec. 15. According to a report from WPXI, Tom Cruise and co-stars Robert Duvall and Rosamund Pike are expected to return to Pittsburgh to attend the premiere, which is the first film premiere Pittsburgh has hosted in several decades. A portion of the movie was filmed in Oakmont last December on Eleventh Street between Hulton Road and Virginia Avenue. The trailer for "Jack Reacher," a movie that was filmed in the Pittsburgh area—including Oakmont—over the winter, has been released. The movie, which was named "One Shot' during filming, stars Tom Cruise, Robert Duvall and Rosamund Pike. In December, film crews and actors were on set at an Eleventh Street home in Oakmont. The movie also filmed in Dormont, Sewickley and other areas throughout the City of Pittsburgh. I will not go see this movie as Tom Cruise does not even resemble Jack Reacher in any way, shape or form. It was a travesty picking him to play Jack Reacher!!! more ›
