The Italian restaurant has also closed its Robinson location.
Johnny Carino’s closed its restaurant at Monroeville Mall about two weeks ago, according to the Pittsburgh Business Times. The Italian Restaurant joins the Robinson Township location, which closed about a week ago near the Mall at Robinson, property representatives told the Business Times. The newspaper reports that Monroeville site has already been leased to Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and expects to be open by November. Participants may register and pick up T-shirts and race packets Saturday and Sunday.
The Komen Pittsburgh Affiliate will be at several local malls this weekend to sign people up for the 21st Komen Pittsburgh Race for the Cure. Registration is available both Saturday, April 27, and Sunday, April 28. On Saturday, participants may register and pick up T-shirts and Race packets between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. On Sunday, the registration and pickup times are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Komen staff and volunteers will be at the Monroeville Mall, the Mall at Robinson, Kohl's on Route 228 in Cranberry Township, Ross Park Mall and South Hills Village. Easter is near! Visit the season's favorite bunny!
All Plum, Oakmont and Verona children can visit with the Easter Bunny! Take pictures with the Easter Bunny at the Monroeville Mall through April 7. He will be located at the court near the Steelers Sideline store. Photo hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday noon to 6 p.m. The Easter Bunny will be visiting with children at the Pittsburgh Mills from March 14 to March 30. Some malls have special hours to accommodate returns and sales.
To accommodate seasonal sales and the returns of items purchased, many Pittsburgh-area shopping malls will have special hours of operation for the week following Christmas Day, while some malls will simply revert back to their normal schedules. See below for a list of area malls and their hours from Dec. 26 through Jan. 1. Also, see if those malls will keep their children's ride-along trains up after Christmas. Pittsburgh Dad is going to the Monroeville Mall! "Pittsburgh Dad" is a YouTube series of short films featuring the observations of a yinzer dad. It was created by Chris Preksta and stars Curt Wootton. The 'burgh's favorite dad has taken on Kennywood, Black Friday and the Steelers. On Saturday, Dec. 15, at 11 a.m., he'll be at the Monroeville Mall for a meet and greet. Posters and DVDs will be on sale, and they can be autographed. The holidays aren't complete without a visit with Santa and a ride on the holiday trains.
With Thanksgiving behind us, the Christmas season has officially begun—it's time to visit Santa Claus and ride the holiday train at local malls. Santa Claus will be at JCPenney Court at the Monroeville Mall through Christmas Eve. It might be Halloween, but trick-or-treaters won't be out until this weekend.
