Curb Work on Allegheny Avenue Begins Monday

There will be lane restrictions.

Motorists traveling along Allegheny Avenue in Oakmont next week should be aware of some restrictions. Beginning on Monday, the curb replacement on the business side of the 200 and 700 blocks—from College to California avenues—of the road will occur. There will be lane restrictions. Hulton Bridge Lane Restrictions to Occur Through June

The restrictions began Monday, April 29.

Anyone who crosses the Hulton Bridge during the day should expect some restrictions for the next two months. Lane restrictions on the Oakmont bridge began Monday, April 29. Short term lane restrictions on the east side of the bridge will occur as needed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day, including weekends, through June 29. Crews from Duquesne Light will be installing new poles. Restrictions to Occur on Freeport Road Tuesday

Anyone heading to Harmar from Oakmont should be aware of these restrictions.

Traffic on southbound Freeport Road will be reduced to a single lane today, April 23, in Harmar Township. The southbound right lane will be closed from the Hulton Bridge (connecting to Oakmont) to Powers Run Road. Restrictions will occur from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Crews under contract with Verizon will be digging test holes to locate conduits. Parkway East Overhead Sign Inspections to Occur Saturday in Churchill

Motorists should be aware of these additional parkway restrictions.

Motorists traveling inbound on the parkway will experience some restrictions Saturday. Overhead sign safety inspections on the inbound Parkway East (westbound I-376) in Churchill will occur on Saturday morning, March 23, weather permitting. Work requiring intermittent single-lane closures and traffic shifts will occur from 6 a.m. to noon on the inbound Parkway East between the Monroeville/Route 22 (Exit 80) and Churchill (Exit 79B) interchanges. Mackin Engineering and the Sofis Rigging Company will conduct the work. Route 28/Freeport Road Ramp Improvements Begin Thursday

Here's a traffic update. Long-term restrictions will be necessary.

Plum-Oakmont residents who jump on Route 28 via O'Hara Township should be aware of upcoming restrictions. Work to improve Route 1002—the ramps/roadway connecting Freeport Road to Route 28—in O’Hara will begin on Thursday, July 12, weather permitting.   Crews will be concrete patching. Long-term lane closures will occur in each direction on Route 1002 between Route 28 and Freeport Road beginning at 7 a.m. on Thursday continuously through mid-August. PennDOT’s Allegheny County maintenance unit will perform the work.  Motorists should be prepared for changing traffic patterns and allow extra time when traveling through the area. Hulton Bridge Cleaning Continues Sunday Night in Oakmont

Here's a traffic update.

Traffic on the Hulton Bridge, which carries Hulton Road over the Allegheny River in Harmar Township and Oakmont, will be reduced to a single lane alternating use weeknights beginning on Sunday, Nov. 27, weather permitting.    Crews from Michael Facchiano Contracting, Inc. of Pittsburgh, PA, will be cleaning the bridge. Restrictions will occur from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. as needed Sunday to Thursday nights through Dec. 8. Motorists are advised to use caution, slow down and expect changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area. Lane Closures Thursday on Hulton Road in Oakmont

Traffic on the bridge that carries Hulton Road over the Pennsylvania Turnpike and railroad tracks near the Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont will be reduced to a single lane alternating use on Thursday, Nov. 10, weather permitting.    Crews from Tri-State Design and the Sofis Rigging Company will be inspecting the bridge. Restrictions will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. PennDOT advises motorists to use caution, slow down and expect changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area. Business Route 22 in Monroeville to be Closed Saturday Night

Here's a traffic update.

PennDOT District 11 is announcing Business Route 22 will be closed in both directions on Saturday night, Oct. 22, in the area under the outbound Parkway East (I-376) in Monroeville, weather permitting. The closure will occur from 11 p.m. on Saturday to 8 a.m. on Sunday to allow crews to place beams for the new bridge that will carry the outbound Parkway East over Business Route 22. Note: A closure might also occur Sunday night, Oct. 23, if inclement weather prevents completion of the work Saturday. Signs will be posted to guide motorists during the overnight closure. Single-Lane Restrictions on Southbound Route 28 Wednesday Night, 40th Street Bridge Closed This Weekend

Here's a traffic update.

PennDOT District 11 is announcing traffic restrictions on southbound Route 28 on Wednesday, Oct. 19, and the closure of the 40th Street Bridge this weekend. All work is weather permitting. Route 28 Wednesday Work Southbound Route 28 in the City of Pittsburgh and Millvale Borough will be reduced to a single, 11-foot wide lane on Wednesday night, Oct. 19. Crews from the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) will be working in the area between the 31th Street Bridge and the Chestnut Street overpass. Restrictions will occur from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday. Brief traffic stoppages of 15 minutes or less may also occur. Hulton Bridge Inspection Begins Wednesday

Single-lane restrictions will occur from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays through Oct. 14.

PennDOT District 11 is announcing inspection on the Hulton Bridge, which carries Hulton Road over the Allegheny River in Harmar Township and the Borough of Oakmont, will begin Wednesday, Sept. 28.    Crews from SAI Consulting Engineers will be inspecting the bridge. Single-lane, alternating use restrictions will occur from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. as needed through Oct. 14. No weekend work will occur.
