Here are the Oakmont police reports for Sept. 19 to Oct. 3.
Oakmont police officers had to use a Taser on an 18-year-old during a fight last week. On Sept. 29, police were called to Third Street for a fight. Police attempted to arrest Michael Joseph McAndrew IV, 18, and when he resisted, they used a Taser to restrain him. McAndrew has been charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and criminal mischief. A preliminary hearing before Penn Hills district Magistrate Leonard HRomyak was scheduled for Sept. 30. McAndrew was held for court on those charges. The following incidents also were reported to the Oakmont Police Department. Information was obtained from call logs and police reports. A man who allegedly threatened police officers on the internet was released to a mental health facility on Wednesday.
A Penn Hills man who was arrested for threatening police on Facebook was released into his attorney’s custody Wednesday after his trial was postponed. Kenneth Robert Aquiline, 26, had his bond reduced on the condition that he be taken directly to an in-patient mental health facility. District Judge Linda Zucco postponed his hearing for two weeks to allow time for psychological and drug evaluations. “I’m looking forward to getting there as soon as possible,” Aquiline told Zucco. A former Marine, Aquiline was arrested by Plum police and charged with making terroristic threats on May 17 after he allegedly threatened on Facebook to shoot police officers. Kenneth Robert Aquiline, 26, of Penn Hills is accused of threatening police on Facebook.
Plum police have arrested a man who is accused of threatening police on Facebook. Kenneth Robert Aquiline, 26, of Penn Hills has been charged with terroristic threats. According to KDKA, Aquiline posted the following message on his Facebook page on Thursday: “I serve in the Marines give all I have for six years. Deployed every chance I got.and gave all I have. I come back and am homeless ask for help and nobody [expletive] cares. They just keep taking and [expletive] me over. I bet if I bet if I put some bullets in some cops that deserve it everybody will care. It will make the news I bet. Well just have to see. Then when everybody asks why im just gonna say well you didnt care then.” The message has since been taken off of his Facebook…
