Snow Comes Down Fast in Plum, Oakmont & Verona

Well, those of you wishing for a winter wonderland at Christmastime have definitely gotten it. Our area remains under a winter storm warning until 6 a.m. Thursday. The snow has been pretty steady in the Plum, Oakmont and Verona area since about 10 a.m. Wednesday. As of 3 p.m., it seems as though as least 3 inches has fallen. It might not seem like a lot, but it's definitely causing some trouble on the roads. Route 28 was closed in both directions from Harmar to Tarentum (the Pittsburgh Mills) due to poor weather conditions, and multiple accidents have been reported in the region.
